Robert A. White II
The Crucible: Law Enforcement
With over 22 years of experience in the Law Enforcement, Rob has operated in the high-pressure worlds of corrections, patrol, major offenders, internal investigations, and supervision. This career has provided a front-row seat to the systems that shape human behavior, a theme that pulses through every page of his grimdark fantasy, Things Not Meant to Be Seen.
The Kinetic: MMA
As a Martial Artist and former professional MMA fighter with a 7-1 record, Rob brings a visceral, physical authenticity to his prose. He understands the "lessons learned in pain" and the clarity that comes from being backed into a corner. A perspective that makes the combat in the Things Not Meant to Be Seen trilogy feel raw and immediate.
The Heart: Storytelling & Legacy
A lifelong "Blerd" influenced by the dark complexity of manga like FMA Brotherhood, Rob writes to explore the intersections of identity and justice. But his ultimate motivation is captured in his core philosophy:
"Our dreams echo in the lives of our children.”
His work, from the rhythmic urgency of his poetry collection, The Heretical Blue, to the sweeping scope of his trilogy, is the house he has built to ensure his children inherit a legacy of truth and strength.

A Blerd’s Mythological Fusion
My adult Grimdark Fantasy series is a Blerd reimagining of speculative fiction. It weaves together a complex tapestry and retelling of Egyptian, Semitic, Canaanite, Norse, Japanese, and Native American mythologies.
The world-building is deeply informed by my understanding of resilience and societal challenges rooted in my personal journey. Having been raised by a single mother in disadvantaged neighborhoods, along with my 22+ years in law enforcement and studies in Organizational Management(Xavier University), I have an unflinching ability to portray the experience of growing up Black in Contemporary America through the fantastical lens of my characters, all while exploring the systems that create both heroes and villains.
The narrative carries the visceral and kinetic energy of my professional MMA background. This world is influenced by the dark complexity of anime like Attack on Titan, JJK, and Hell’s Paradise. Think of it like Supernatural meets The Wire meets Solo Leveling.

The Heretical Blue is a raw, rhythmic exploration of a life lived at the intersection of high-stakes reality and systemic struggle. It is a four-part journey that moves from the concrete grief of a fractured childhood to the measured life of a Black man wearing the blue of law enforcement.
The Structure: Four Pillars of Identity
Part I: The Foundation – An unflinching look at early childhood trauma, the "ghost-shaped hole" of an absent father, and the resilience forged in socioeconomically disadvantaged neighborhoods.
Part II: The Crucible – A visceral reflection on 22+ years in law enforcement, exploring the "heresy" of being a Black man within the "Blue" and the dual burden of being "loyal to both, trusted by few."
Part III: The Perspective – A sharp, contemporary analysis of systemic issues, from the "13%" weaponized by malice to the "New Heresy" of speaking one's truth in a foreign land.
Part IV: The Affirmation – A powerful return to the "fertile soil" of legacy, centering on the core philosophy that “Our dreams echo in the lives of our children.”
The Vision:
This collection is not just ink on a page; it is "The House I Built" from my own stone. It serves as the thematic anchor for the Things Not Meant to Be Seen trilogy, proving that the systems that create both heroes and monsters are not just fantasy. . . they are the reality I have navigated for two decades.
